While performing work for Jefferson County’s Storm Drain Rehabilitation project, contractors ran into running water as they were excavating near W. Walker Ave. and S. Pierce St. The district responded, as well as Denver Water. It does not seem to be coming from the district’s or Denver Water’s main. Crews will be onsite tomorrow with leak detection equipment to help determine the source of the leak. Water may be running south down S. Pierce St. just north of Coal Mine until the source of the leak is verified.
